It takes about 4 kg of Raw Maca roots to produce 1 Kg of Gelatinized Maca powder. his premium product is made using a unique process. Instead of being sun-dried after harvest, the fresh roots are immediately cleaned, ground into a pulp and low temperature dried to produce a powder, which is then gelatinized to dissolve most starch content. This careful and quick handling preserves more vital nutrients of the Maca roots and makes for a significantly more potent product. Recent scientific research has found Red Maca to have some important unique properties among all Maca colors. A 2005 study found Red Maca to reduce the size of the prostate and reported it to have the “highest peak values” for 7 functional nutrients of all Maca colors.
