Instead of being sundried after harvest, the fresh roots are immediately cleaned, ground into a pulp and low temperature dried to produce a powder, which is then vacuum sealed in foil bags. This careful and quick handling preserves more vital nutrients of the Maca roots and makes for a significantly more potent product. In particular Raw Premium Maca is higher in glucosinolates, macaenes and macamides, some of Maca root’s most important nutrients associated with hormone balance. Our Premium Maca powder contains a combination of about 30% Red, 40% Yellow and 30% Black Maca roots. Given the special handling and combination of Maca colors, Premium Maca Powder is in our opinion the best all-purpose Maca for both Men and Women.
